Favorite Character – 30 Day Disney Challenge: Day 1

So I was casually browsing blogs when I came upon a post that included this list: IMG_0962.PNG Since most of my writing time is now being taken up by National Novel Writing Month (click here for more info), I figure this will be a good way for me to keep good blogging habits between bigger posts. One thing to note is that some of these questions could be repetitive.  Look at the first three.  There is no reason a princess can’t be a heroine.  For the sake of this list and just keeping some variety, though, I will do my best to not repeat answers.  Also, I will keep princesses to the ones who actually wear fancy crowns.  (Sorry, Pocahontas.  You’ll get in my list, I promise.) So without further ado:

Disney challenge

Day 1: Favorite character

Of course, the hardest question is the first one.  At first, I thought this character might also be my favorite princess.

But after giving it some thought (and getting the Smuggler’s opinion), I realized that I do have one character that I have loved since I was a little child,
far earlier than when my favorite princess came about.

 And this character is:

Robin Hood

Robbin' the rich to feed the poor. (Robbin'… get it?)
Robbin’ the rich to feed the poor. (Hee hee, Robbin’… get it?)

I suppose Robin could fit into the underrated character category as well, but he is first and foremost my favorite character, for so many reasons:

He is a master of disguise.

Because a fox being a stork? Impossible. Only the love of your life will recognize you.

A really good master of disguise.

I mean, it could be any fox.
I mean, it could be any fox.

A really really good master of disguise.

The one we try to forget about, no matter how good this disguise is.
The one we try to forget about, no matter how good this disguise is.

He is expressive.

The classic "AHHH" face.
The classic “AW CRAP” face.

He’s a dreamer.

Burnin' the grub.
“Rob… Robin… Ro-bear…”

He’s loyal to his friends until the end.

Remember when he snuck into a castle, freed his peeps, then almost burned to death?

He’s probably the most optimistic Disney character ever. He never loses hope.

He can dance.

We expect no less grace from a fox.
We expect no less grace from a fox.

And let’s not forget that he actually marries his lady friend, Maid Marian.

Best Disney wedding ever.
Just look at the love in his eyes.  He thinks he’s the lucky one.  Sniffle sniffle.

And of course, for all of the above reasons

and for his general swashbuckling manner and his so-fluffy-I-want-to-pet-you looks…

Robin is a foxy – fox.

Ooh, could you repeat that?
Ooh, could you repeat that?

I mean, every Robin Hood has a sweet little place in ladies’ hearts, but this one… He’s just perfect.

That’s all for now!  Tune in tomorrow for Challenge # 2: Favorite Princess.
